Released 11th February 2008

Anton Corbin's excellent b&w biopic of Joy Division's singer Ian Curtis. Powerful and fragile.

2. Benny's Video

Released 25th February 2008

An early(ish) film by Michael Haneke, which courted controversy at the time of its initial release, but that signposted many of the themes he would pursue in his subsequent successful films.

3. And When Did You Last See Your Father

Released 4th February 2008

Colin Firth and (the extraordinarily talented) Jim Broadbent, deftly portray a son's relationship with his dying father.
