Napoleon Dynamite Synopsis - Napoleon Dynamite is set in Idaho and centres around the central character of Napoleon. Napoleon lives at home his grandma and also his brother Kip, a frequent user of chat rooms. Napoleon is something of an outsider in high school and is considered a freak. He meets two other outsiders Deb, a meek young girl trying to make some extra money selling door to door, and Pedro, an Mexican immigrant, who wants to run for president of the Student Union. Napoleon and Deb offer to help Pedro in his campaign but how can the outsiders persuade the rest of the kids to side with them.

Review of Napoleon Dynamite - The plot, such as it, is practically irrelevant to this film. Napoleon Dynamite itself works almost as a quick fire stream of sketches. Although the sketches knit the narrative together the plot is incidental and the viewer just ends up watching a series of hilarious and bizarre skits of the highest order. This is such an unusual film, and although the accusation is leveled at it of being perfect for the MTV generations attention span, the fact is that this film has so many gags its is impossible not to get engrossed in it. I'm sure in a few years time this will be spoken of in the same terms as Spinal Tap, Monty Python etc - i.e. where everyone knows a few lines of dialogue. Its also a real tribute to the film makers and actors that they have managed to get such a consistent style for this film that is absolutely unique.
The reasons I recommend Napoleon Dynamite are: The reasons I recommend this film are: 1. One of the funniest films ever made. 2. It is absolutely unique.
